Attracting more than 300 delegates, this two-day event built on the success of the award winning 'Diabetes in Crisis' conference held three years previously. It was organised by M+C Events with the support of a number of industry sponsors, overseen by an independent medical organising committee. Thirty- nine leading international and Irish diabetes specialists addressed attendees at seminars and workshops.

The conference was chaired by Professor John Nolan and coincided with the tercentenary celebrations of the School of Medicine at Trinity College Dublin.

The conference received comprehensive television, radio and newspaper coverage with FMC's tailored PR campaign delivering a total readership/listenership reach of 2,519,697 members of the public.

In addition to this, a patient event entitled 'Diabetes – Ask the Experts' was organised in association with the Diabetes Federation of Ireland. More than 200 patients attended the event and they had a unique opportunity to have their questions answered by some of the world's leading diabetes experts.
